Man, I’d forgotten how interesting modeling could actually be. Since the critical path for the dissertation is currently the models, I’ve shifted from writing to modeling full bore.

Alright, here is the first in a series of detailed explanations of ACT-R/S from a modeler’s perspective. This will cover the current state of the implementation.
ACT-R/S: an out-dated introduction
I just realized that after the last website crash, I forgot to update the ACT-R/S information. My bad. It will take some time to bring it all up to date with the dissertation and all in progress. So, for a quick introduction here’s an old submission to CogSci 2002. This is the paper that ultimately became a poster for the conference (the paper wasn’t accepted because, well, it was entirely theoretical without a bit of data to support it).
I’ll be posting more information in the weeks to come to document the current thinking about the architecture. Some things have changed regarding path-integration and automaticity.
